Tom's Talking Reptiles has a great website full of information that will help anyone plan a lizard party for their loved one. I was looking for an ethical experience provider who's priority is animal welfare. After reading through the plentiful information on Tom's website, I was assured that his extra-ordinary crew of animals are loved and kept by a real expert.

The admin of booking was handled by the wonderful, thorough and attentive Katie who was quick to respond to emails and helpful in trying to work out smaller issues before signing the contract. The contract itself was clear, detailed and set out the responsibilities, rules and parameters of the event in a very digestable manner.

I booked a 1-to-2 experience for my partner's 40th birthday and the day itself couldn't have gone any better. Tom arrived chatty, friendly and clearly so passionate about his unique and curious friends. The selection of beasties he shown us was varied and exciting - my partner was absolutely delighted to get to handle Pogo, the stick insect, Milly, the millipede, Pumpkin the gecko, Apollo, the bearded dragon, Harry the tortoise and Pixel and Deja the snakes. We both got ample time with these wonderful creatures while Tom was providing educational tidbits and interesting anecdotes.

The entire experience clocked in at an hour, Tom was quick to set up and quick to depart at the end - no extensive preparation before or any clean up after was necessary.

As two autistic adults - one organising and one at the receiving end of the experience - we both deeply appreciated the relaxed, pressure-free and personable way the whole process was handled.

If you are looking for a fun, quirky and unforgettable surprise for adults or children in your life, I would highly recommend going with Tom's Talking Reptiles - there's no beating seeing the delighted look on your loved one's face when the cold and soft belly of a gecko hits the palm of their hands."
